Susan Kraus, CRNP-A, CRNP-PMH

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Susan Kraus is a dual certified adult medicine and psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in the Baltimore/ Washington area. She worked with CGS/MedOptions 12 years, in the long-term care arena as a psychiatric NP and later as a Clinical Director. Ms. Kraus was the Vice President of Operations for Della Behavioral Health Services in Baltimore, MD and managed the nurse practitioner group. Currently she is the CEO of Kraus Behavioral Health, a psychiatric nurse practitioner group specializing in the integration of mental health care in primary care practices, geriatric mental health care in long term care settings, and providing services to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her clinical focus has been on accurate mental health and cognitive assessments foundationally, then utilizing individual target symptoms as the basis of treatment, rather than diagnoses alone. She serves on the Maryland Board of Nursing and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, APNA, MAAPC, and NPAM.

Tracey Cunningham, CRNP-PMH

Tracey Cunningham

Tracey Cunningham brings over 25 years of nursing experience to Kraus Behavioral Health. She has delivered patient centered care in a variety of settings from an in-home community focus to the inpatient hospital environment. Ms. Cunningham received her undergraduate nursing degree with honors at Miami University of Ohio. She is a founding member of the Omicron Chi chapter for the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Ms. Cunningham’s graduate education was completed at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Tracey joins our practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a family focus.

Joy Odinammadu, CRNP-PMH

Joy Odinammadu has been a nurse for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with honors, as well as a Master’s of Science degree in Psychiatry Mental Health-Family focus from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her training allows her to serve clients across the lifespan. Earlier in her nursing career, she worked in acute inpatient medical/surgical/PCU floors as well as long-term facilities. She brings to Kraus Behavioral Health 20 years of experience in psychiatric nursing working with children/adolescents, adult, and geriatric populations and their families with varieties of mental health needs, at both residential treatment facility and hospital inpatient settings. Joy is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland (NPAM) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has a passion for providing comprehensive care for her patients, employing a patient-focused approach which has been shown to improve patient satisfaction and health outcomes. Joy is certified in both Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB).

Charon Burda, DNP, CRNP-PMH, CARN-AP

Charon Burda is an assistant professor and Director of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and has been specializing in mental health for over 30 years. She was a provider at Health Care for the Homeless for 8 years. Charon works locally, nationally & internationally on policy and practice issues related to behavioral health access and education. She practices at Kraus Behavioral Health where she offers individualized practice treatment that is customized, holistic, and evidenced-based. Access to appropriate mental health care and treatment is a personal passion.

Nora Richardson-Stewart, CRNP-PMH

Nora Richardson-Stewart

Nora Richardson Stewart has been in the nursing field for over 25 years. She has worked at Spring Grove Hospital in risk management and as a manager; at Maryland Psychiatric Research Center in an outpatient clinic for patients with schizophrenia; taught at the Baltimore City Community College in their bridge program; and has done consulting work in assisted living and nursing home communities, evaluating and treating patients with mental illness. Nora regularly engages in community service with The New Bethlehem Baptist Church through their Health and Wellness Ministry. On an annual basis, she and social worker Jessica Fauntleroy hold a luncheon: Breaking the Chain of Dysfunctional Family Patterns. She aspires to be a community resource for those suffering from mental illness, and those who experience a disparity in their need for health care and their access to it.

Will Sutton, DNP, CRNP-PMH

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Will SuttonDr. Will Sutton is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College and holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Sutton primarily focuses upon adult and geriatric psychiatry. He has worked as both a staff and charge nurse at both McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA and for Johns Hopkins Health System. Career highlights include participating in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) as well as performing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Will has also taught as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Will enjoys working with older adult patients and aims to provide appropriate family-centered and culturally-competent psychiatric care. Will is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioner’s. Outside of work, Will and his Fiancé Eric enjoy traveling and relaxing with their two cats, Hunter and Sisi.

June Ottley, CRNP-PMH

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

June Ottley received her Bachelors in Nursing and her Masters in Nursing Science with a concentration in Adult and Gerontological nurse practitioner from University of Maryland. She later returned to obtain a post-master’s degree from the university of Cincinnati due to a strong interest in mental health. June is a member of The American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland, Sigma ThetaTau.

June Ottley brings over 16 years of nursing expertise to Kraus Behavioral Health. She is a dually certified Adult/Gerontological and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her nursing career has allowed her to provide patient directed care in many realms including: Orthopedics, Trauma, Critical Care, Labor and Delivery, and Nephrology. Throughout her career she  has worked as  an RN, Advance Practice Registered Nurse, and in many Leadership Roles.

June has a special interest in Mental Health. She has worked in Psychiatry for several years in environments providing care for Adult and Geriatric patients. These clinical settings include assisted living, skilled nursing homes, and inpatient psychiatric units at various hospitals In Maryland.

TriDonna Brandford, CRNP-PMH

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

TriDonna Brandford has been a nurse for 24 years. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Catonsville Community College; and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with honors from Stevenson University. She also received her Master’s of Science degree in Family Medicine from Bowie State University and her Post Master’s Certificate in Psychiatry Mental Health-Family from the University of Cincinnati.  Her training allows her to serve clients across the lifespan.   TriDonna is a certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner and a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. TriDonna has worked inpatient psychiatry at Sheppard Pratt Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center, and Northwest Hospital, as well as outpatient psychiatry.

Earlier in her nursing career, TriDonna worked as a nurse manager for the home dialysis program for Fresenius Medical Care, as well as, a facility administrator and an area quality assurance manager cover Maryland, District of Columbia, and Delaware, and Northern Virginia for DaVita.   TriDonna is a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
